Well Basu that book you gave was what actually started me off to using ubuntu properly. Thus discovering (somewhat belatedly) linux.
One needs to start off somewhere - a place where the noobiest of noob queries can be answered. The book saw to that. After that the IRC channel and forums led me on.

Hi Bytebake.com -

I forgot to mention the Ubuntu Linux Book blog at:

http://www.UbuntuLinuxBookBlog.com

This Ubuntu Linux Book is being developed as a "Blog to Book" project and uses the blog format to create Linux training materials for Ubuntu Linux!

Have a look and then click on "Comment" to let me know what you think - I welcome comments, suggestions and Ubuntu Linux questions - that will be answered as blog posts and go in the book.

You and your readers can contribute to an Ubuntu Linux training book!

You can also sign up (in the top right corner) to get regular blog updates by email or RSS - all free!
